Lucas Casacio

(drums and percussion)

Drummer and percussionist, Bachelor of Arts in Popular Music at the University of Campinas  (Unicamp). Member of the group Amanajé, which released his second album, “Suite Urbana”, sponsored by the Petrobrás, in 2010, with musical direction by Arismar do Espírito Santos. He was member of the GRUPU (Percussion Group of Unicamp), acting as a player in major events in the international percussion scenario, such as the “Dia da Percussão” held by PAS (Percussive Arts Society), “Ritmos da Terra”, “8th Encontro Nacional de Percussionistas” and “Mostra Internacional de Percussão”. He has performed at important music festivals in Brazil and abroad such as International Music Festival of Marrekech (Marrakech, Morocco), “Brasil Instrumental” in Tatuí (SP) and International Music Festival of Brasília (Federal District). He played musicals such as in “Mamma Mia” and “My friend Charlie Brown”. It is also a member of the Research Group “Brazilian Percussion: History, Study and its Interpretative Repertoire” (CNPq), linked to the Arts Institute at Unicamp, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Fernando Hashimoto. Has participated in several projects in the São Paulo music scene.
