Radames Gnattali is one of the main references of Quatro a Zero, since the beginning of the group.
When we decided to play choro with a different formation with respect to the tradicional choro instrumentation, the albums of Radames’ sextet (that consisting of guitar, bass, drums, accordion and two pianos) were a fundamental source of inspiration.
We made an adaptacion to our group of one of his masterpieces, “Suíte Retratos”, originally written for bandolim, “regional” assembly and string orchestra, and we recorded it in our third album, "Alegria".
In this new time of Quatro a Zero, we return to visit the work of Radamés and here we show two more arrangements of their “choros”, both with sweet names: “Pé de Moleque” e “Papo de Anjo”.
